Professional Baseball

Durin O’Linger – Davidson College – 2013-2017, Boston Red Sox – 2017-2019
Durin O'Linger
Durin O’Linger, famously pitched Davidson College in 2017 to its first ever Conference Championship in its 115-year history. After winning the Championship, he helped Davidson defeat the UNC Tarheels in the regional. He totaled 502 pitches over those 17 days and was dubbed “The Pharmacist” for being accepted into the University of Florida’s Pharmacy College. His performance gained him a shot at professional baseball with the Boston Red Sox. Reaching as high as AA, he pitched to a 3.08 ERA in 117 innings. He is currently a pitching coach in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization as a Pitching coach for the Tulsa Drillers.

Collin Woody – College of Central Florida 2013-2014, UNC Greensboro 2015-2016, Baltimore Orioles 2016-2019
Collin Woody
Collin Woody played 109 games for UNC Greensboro, over his two seasons he had a slash line of .325/.393/.542. His play earned him a spot with the Baltimore Orioles as a 38th round pick in 2016. He would go on to play as high as A+. In total he played 228 games, amassing 159 hits and a slash line of .212/.308/.362. He started a coaching career with the Orioles in 2022, before becoming the manager of their low-A team, the Delmarva Shorebirds in 2024.

Tucker Neuhaus – Milwaukee Brewers – 2013-2019

Tucker Neuhaus, taken with the 72nd Pick of the 2013 Draft played a total of 6 seasons in the minor leagues with the brewers, reaching as high as A+. In total he played 394 games, amassing 356 hits and a slash line of .243/.305/.380

Michael Clemens – McNease State 2012-2014, Pittsburgh Pirates 2014

Michael Clemens, Pitched 152 innings in three years at McNease State with an ERA of 5.15 and a record of 7-8, but it was his physicality that made him a 17th round pick before reaching his final season of college eligibility with the 521st overall pick in the 2014 draft. His scouting report included an upper 90’s fastball. In his lone season of professional ball, he reached the rookie level Bristol Pirates with a 1.00 ERA in 18 innings, giving up only 13 hits.

Ryan Gawrych, played 24 games for Saint Leo University, including one homerun and a career slash line of .200/.379/.320

Tyler “Ty” Neuhaus – Yavapai Junior College 2012

Ty played in 23 games for Yavapai Junior College with 6 hits in 43 at bats during the 2012 season. Ty was known for his power and imposing physicality at New Tampa Little League.
